FOLDED LEAFLET PRINTING: LEAFLET VS. FLYER - WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
The main difference between flyers and folded leaflets is in the way they are processed. Flyers are printed either on one or both sides and then trimmed to size. Folded leaflets require the additional step of folding where a machine folds the leaflets in various styles. The page count is another difference between the two products. Flyers can have two pages at the most. Everything beyond that is usually referred to as folded leaflets.
POPULAR FORMATS AND FOLDING STYLES FOR FOLDED LEAFLETS
We offer leaflet printing in standard sizes and special formats. Our best-selling leaflet options include six-paged folded DL leaflets and four-paged folded A4 and A5 leaflets. Which folding type to choose depends on the page count of the leaflets. In folded leaflets printing, the so-called half fold is popular. Since the paper is folded in half so that parallel pages are on top of each other, this option is only possible for flyers with four pages. From six pages upwards, one fold is no longer sufficient and you have to opt for another folding style. The letter fold is used frequently in online leaflets printing. Dividing your paper width by three or four yields a folded leaflet with six or eight panels, respectively.
PAPER AND FINISH OF FOLDED LEAFLETS
Most of our customers prefer classic leaflet printing without any additional finishing options. You can choose between art print paper, offset paper and recycled paper, each available in different weights. 135 gsm art print paper is the most commonly used paper stock in online leaflets printing. To add a touch of class when printing leaflets, you should opt for our UV coated folded leaflets. Here the paper stock selection is limited to brilliant art print paper, usually 250 gsm card stock.
